For those of you that don't already know, I have a new home and I couldn't be happier.

I have moved to a new real estate company called Compass. I think of Compass as a mix between Apple and Amazon. I'll get into the reason why a little later.

In my fourteen years of helping people get to their next destination, I've been blessed to work with two other incredible companies and meet some amazing people. Working at Coldwell Banker when I first started my real estate career in 2004, I was able to get some incredible training for someone that was brand new to real estate. I worked there for eleven years and was able to learn many things that I still use today.

After my time there, I was fortunate to work at Sotheby's International Realty for nearly three years. Getting a job at Sotheby's isn't given to everyone that applies, so it was an honor to be asked to work there. In my time there I was able to learn a great deal about the luxury real estate market and build many wonderful relationships with agents throughout the world.

This combined with my already existing friendships with some of the top agents worldwide enabled me to know have personal friendships with multiple agents in all fifty states in the US and in 57 countries.

So after working for Coldwell Banker and Sotheby's, why make another move? And who exactly is Compass? Below is a short clip on what excited me about this remarkable company.

If you are like most people reading this article, you probably aren't familiar with Compass. But, it won't be long before you are. Below is a link to an article that mentions how 45,000 people applied for jobs there and only 45 people were hired. Based on stats, it is roughly fifty times harder to get a job at Compass than to get accepted into Harvard.

As Compass has scaled from fewer than 30 staffers to more than 550 of the industry’s best...

So back to me mentioning that Compass reminds me of Apple and Amazon mixed together. Apple has always been very innovative and looking at things completely different than others. They are the hip techy company that totally simplifies things and makes life much better. I couldn't imagine how different our world would be without iPhones (smartphones), iPads, and listening to our favorite songs on our devices.

Although Amazon isn't known for being a tech company, they are probably the leaders in creating a frictionless experience for hundreds of millions of consumers around the world. To be able to click just a few times and to be able to get almost anything your heart desires within a few hours or couple of days is absolutely amazing.

Compass will be doing this in the future. Your buying and selling experience will be frictionless in the near future. The roller coaster ride that is typically experienced thru the buying and selling experience will be a thing of the past. I can't wait to share with all of you what the future has in store!
