What's new in Pinecrest?

I've all the juicy "deets" for anyone who wants to know!

From an enchanting paradise where peacocks have the right of way, Pinecrest transforms into a suburban community of BEAUTY and PROGRESS armed with new community initiatives and developments, sights to see, and parks to enjoy!

And I'm pretty sure you already know that THIS is just the BEGINNING!

Where affluence is a lifestyle and convenience is a constant, the opportunities and experiences are endless!

Here are 3 things new to watch for in Pinecrest.

The Village Of Pinecrest Evolves Into A "City Of Happiness!"

Where: across Pinecrest

When: Happening Now!

Do you love living in Pinecrest?

Get ready to fall in love even more as the Village of Pinecrest launches its newest endeavor, "Happy Pinecrest People Initiative!"

You see, the Village of Pinecrest believes that happiness is more than a feeling but a commitment to thrive and move forward to a bright future!

To foster its residents' well-being and happiness, the Village of Pinecrest, in partnership with the World Happiness Foundation, launched the Happy Pinecrest People Initiative (HaPPI), a year-long pilot program to enhance the Village's quality of life!

With this initiative, the Village of Pinecrest aims to improve health outcomes and economic growth and create stronger bonds within the community while encouraging residents to stay engaged and look forward to more developments and civic engagement opportunities!

It will also allow residents to influence Pinecrest's strategic planning, a significant ingredient to achieve better projects, proposals, and more — in other words, a LEVELED-UP Pinecrest!

"What's Here" And "What's Next" For Pinecrest's Most Famous Tourist Spot?

Where: 11000 Red Rd, Pinecrest, FL 33156

Although the Village of Pinecrest is known more for its residential aspect than its tourist "appeal," there's one spot in this serene suburb you can't miss on your trip to Miami — the Pinecrest Gardens!

A vibrant, 14-acre recreational destination with lush landscapes, beautiful botanical gardens, and a buzzing community scene, Pinecrest Gardens has been known as the Village of Pinecrest's "pride and joy" — and now, this famous nature haven is offering more experiences for your senses!

Not so long ago, Pinecrest Gardens opened new facilities and gardens, including the Dry Gardens, a unique exhibit showcasing an alternative approach to local gardening and landscape design, and the Upper Garden, a collection of gardens with mosaics made from broken or cut brick, fine sculptural art tucked into the landscape, and inlaid patterns with leaves flowers, flamingos, snails, and other natural shapes.

Pinecrest Gardens also opened a reimagined playground, petting zoo, and learning center alongside the new Cypress Hall Deck, consisting of an expansive terrace and an 835-square-foot deck outside Cypress Hall, overlooking the Lower Gardens.

We may also see a new culinary concept at the Cypress Hall café pretty soon, as Pinecrest Gardens recently accepted proposals from local restaurant operators to manage a comprehensive food and beverage service!

Will we see more new exhibits and dining spots within Pinecrest Gardens?

That's a question for our next update!

Is Pinecrest The New "Village Of Parks?"

Where: across Pinecrest

Well, it's not official, but Pinecrest may be in the running for the title of Miami's "Village of Parks" with its acquisition of the Mas Property (11855 SW 60th Ave.), which will soon be a new passive neighborhood park!

A five-acre tract of natural beauty, the Mas Property boasts exotic trees, trails, a lagoon, and a large resort-like house, and the Village of Pinecrest plans to create a passive green space and an indoor facility within its perimeter.

Once the project is finalized and completed, Mas Property will be the ninth park around Pinecrest.

And that's not all!

In a few months, Pinecrest's Gary Matzner Park (6610 N Kendall Dr.), a 3.76-acre two-parcel site (formerly known as the Palermo Property), will also open to the public and offer vast open spaces, natural play areas, a covered playground, a walking path, a restroom shelter, parking, numerous specimen trees, and a park gateway.

Meanwhile, Gary Matzner Park's landscape will include native species to create a canopy and backdrop for visitors and help them connect better with nature!

Which upcoming Pinecrest park are you excited for?
