Curate a memorable adventure for you and your favorite tail-wagger as you journey through the "Fido-approved" parks of North Miami Beach, a first-tier suburb in the northeastern section of Miami-Dade County!

Reach another milestone in your love-filled relationship with your best-"furry" friend as you plan a fun escape to North Miami Beach, a premier community covering 4.84 square miles midway between Miami and Fort Lauderdale International Airport, with Miami Gardens to its west, unincorporated Ojus to its north, Aventura to its northeast, and east, across the Intracoastal Waterway, the shining city of Sunny Isles Beach.

Promising an unrivaled and active suburban lifestyle for its residents, North Miami Beach boasts not just one but 24 lush parks and recreational facilities across its tiny perimeter, most with open green spaces to share with Fido!

Not to mention that NMB is also the proud home to a famous and MASSIVE free-roam doggie park, which we'll tell you more about as you read along!

Here's a list of dog-friendly parks in North Miami Beach.

1) East Greynold Park (Top-Pick!)

16700 Biscayne Blvd, North Miami Beach, FL 33160

Welcome to the Northeast Regional Dog Park inside North Miami Beach's East Greynolds Park, one of South Florida's famous free-roam dog parks, and North Miami Beach's pride and joy!

A highly-rated, 1.76-acre park popular among dog owners in the area, East Greynold's Northeast Regional Dog Park is divided into two main sections: one for small dog breeds and another for larger ones.

The two areas are fenced and shaded and include site furniture and washing stations to clean and cool off your pups.

The Northeast Regional Dog Park also features water fountains for owners and their canines to enjoy after playtime and plenty of shaded benches throughout the park.

Sit back, relax, and watch as your dogs roam freely in the open, tennis ball-covered fields!

Just take note that the dog park and playground can get a little swampy, and there are several tempting mud puddles around the park, so make use of the hosing stations to ensure that your pup doesn't stain the back seat of your car on the ride back home!

2) Oleta River State Park (Top-Pick!)

3400 NE 163rd St., North Miami Beach, FL 33160

A famous 1,043-acre state park on Biscayne Bay, in the municipal suburb of North Miami Beach, is Oleta River State Park, your best bet for an exciting adventure with Fido!

Enter through the gates of Oleta River State Park, and a feeling of tranquility will wash over you as you emerge into the world of tangled, tidal mangroves inside this protected river estuary.

Considered Florida's largest urban park, Oleta encompasses more than 1,000 acres of greenery set against Biscayne Bay, ideal for kayaking, biking, hiking, swimming, and camping.

At this park, you can bring your pup on the trails and campgrounds with no fuss, but be sure to put it on a leash to avoid mishaps, especially in wildlife areas.

Remember to bring pet waste bags and throw them away in the available trash cans throughout the park.

Cleaning up your dog's waste is mandatory at this park.

Also, dogs are not allowed on the beach area of Oleta River State Park.

3) Haulover Beach Park (Top-Pick!)

10800 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33154

Located nine minutes from North Miami Beach lies Haulover Beach Park, a 177-acre urban park between the Intercoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean.

Although not within NMB, Haulover Beach Park is revered as one of Miami Beach's premier dog-furiendly beaches and a must-visit for those with pets in tow — especially if your doggo is raring for a dose of sun, sand, and sea!

Yes, fur-rents, this paw-some beach is the place to be!

Take a stroll on the nearby dock or enjoy a picnic at tables.

Or, if you're looking for an expansive space your dog can enjoy, visit Bark Park, an off-leash dog park in Haulover Beach Park.

It features fenced large and small dog sections, drinking water, and clean-up bags to avoid littering your pup's smelly mess.

But that's not all!

If you're looking forward to swimming with your canine, you have come to the right place!

You'll find a dog-friendly designated beach area between Lifeguard Towers #2 and #3, available from 8 am to 3 pm.

Just ensure your dogs are on a leash until they're safely in the designated off-leash dog zones of the park and beach.

4) Barry Silverman Park

2000 NE 161st St, North Miami Beach, FL 33162

Boasting 1.2 acres of open green spaces, picnic tables, and recreational activities, like sand volleyball courts, tot lots for the kiddos, and short walking trails, is Barry Silverman Park, one of North Miami Beach's parks.

Although you'll have to keep your doggo on a leash when you visit, most of Barry Silverman Park are passive, open green spaces, which means your furbaby will have enough room for its morning, afternoon, and evening walks, with plenty of activities its "hooman" can enjoy!

5) Carter Tyree Park

NE 162nd St., North Miami Beach, FL 33162

Carter Typree Park is among North Miami Beach's massive collection of passive parks and will be a perfect spot to visit with Fido, especially for exercise, a short walk, or a relaxing time outdoors.

Although smaller than most parks, Carter Tyree Park's lush, open green spaces will do the job, especially if you want to bond with Fido while enjoying the fresh air!

Just ensure your pet's on a leash!

6) Challenger Park

16501 NE 16th Ave., North Miami Beach, FL 33162

Challenger Park is a quaint passive park within North Miami Beach's Senator Gwen Margolis Amphitheater that boasts open green spaces for you and your pup to enjoy.

Although there aren't many activities around Challenger Park, save for the Amphitheater's facilities (a no-Fido zone, by the way), it will be a good spot for a short walk or a bonding session with your dog!

Just make sure your furry pal is on a leash when you visit!

7) Donald E. Bonhan Sr. Park

NE 158th Street & 12th Ave., North Miami Beach, FL 33162

Set your sights on Donald E. Bonhan Sr. Park, another passive park to visit with your pup around North Miami Beach.

Albeit quaint and bare, Donald E. Bonhan Sr. Park will be an ideal spot to bring your dog to for morning, afternoon, and evening walks or some Vitamin C since the park is made up of open green spaces.

Don't forget to bring your doggo's leash!

8) Edna Moffat Boulevard

NE 171 St., between NE 15th and 19th Ave., North Miami Beach, FL 33162

Are you looking for an open green space to visit for a serene outdoor moment with your favorite furry pal?

Edna Moffat Boulevard will be your best bet!

Known as one of North Miami Beach's passive parks, Edna Moffat Boulevard comprises greens throughout, which means Fido will have ample space to walk and stretch its legs while enjoying the sun's rays!

Oh, and bring your dog's leash when you visit!

9) Fulford Park

2075 NE 168th St, North Miami Beach, FL 33162

Shoot some hoops while sharing a special moment with your pup when you visit Fulford Park, a tiny neighborhood park and one of North Miami Beach's recreational spots.

While quaint in size, Fulford Park offers enough open green spaces for your dog to walk on and enjoy the air's breeze.

Not to mention, you'll have a fun activity to do during your fur pal's "me time!" — on a leash, of course!

10) Sauls Park

NE 13th Ave, North Miami Beach, FL 33162

Green, serene, and clean — this sums up Sauls Park, another passive park to add to your list when you visit North Miami Beach with your doggo!

Bearing massive shade trees and vast open green spaces for a relaxing stroll, Sauls Park will be the perfect spot for a fun day out with your pup — sans the harsh heat of the sun, thanks to Saul Park's collection of trees!

Don't forget to bring a leash for Fido!

11) Jack Chaiken Park

172 St. & NE 22 Ave., North Miami Beach, FL 33162

Jack Chaiken Park is a tiny passive park near a North Miami Beach parking lot and one of the best spots to visit for a walk with your dog.

Although the park lacks any recreational activities, which means strolling with your pup will be the only thing on your agenda, Jack Chaiken Park is ideal for a stopover when traveling around NMB with your best fur pal when it needs to stretch its legs and have some fresh air!

Bring a leash when you visit!

12) Lucenda Neal Park

NE 14th Ave & NE 152nd Ter., North Miami Beach, FL 33162

Say hello to another passive park around North Miami Beach, Lucenda Neal Park, a tiny neighborhood hangout comprising open green spaces.

At Lucenda Neal Park, your dog will have ample space to walk, stroll, and get some fresh air, as long as it's leashed when you visit!

13) Martin Luther King Park

155th Ter. & NE 16th Ave., North Miami Beach, FL 33162

Named after Martin Luther King Jr., an American Christian minister, activist, and political philosopher who was one of the most prominent leaders in the civil rights movement during his time, Martin Luther King Park is one of North Miami Beach's passive parks and an ideal location for a relaxing stroll with your pup.

However, it won't be the only reason to visit Martin Luther King Park!

In 2023, North Miami Beach erected a statue of Martin Luther King Jr. in this very same park, strategically placed in what residents called "the alley," where a wall separated Blacks from Whites during segregation.

So, aside from a quick bonding session with Fido, you can reminisce history while you're here!

14) Schenkenberger Park

N Glades Dr & NE 169th St., North Miami Beach, FL 33162

Do you feel like having a relaxing stroll with your pup by the water?

Visit Schenkenberger Park, a small North Miami Beach passive park near the Snake Creek Canal Trail!

While it's not exactly a beach, nor does it offer expansive green spaces, Schenkenberger Park will be your best bet if you want to pair Fido's morning, afternoon, and evening walk with the cold breeze and waterfront views!

Bring a leash to prevent your pup from jumping in the water!

15) Barry Schreiber Promenade Park

NE 72nd St. & South Glades Dr., North Miami Beach, FL 33141

Welcome to Barry Schreiber Promenade Park, another passive park near the Snake Creek Canal in North Miami Beach.

Tucked away in a serene location not too far from Skylake Plaza, Barry Schreiber Promenade Park is the perfect spot for a family day trip with Fido in tow, as you'll find a tiny playground and lots of sitting areas around the area.

There are also ducks roaming in Barry Schreiber Promenade Park, so bring a leash to avoid mishaps while visiting!

16) Taylor Park West

15458 W Dixie Hwy, North Miami Beach, FL 33162

Nestled within the perimeter of Aqua Bowl Lake, a nine-acre reservoir, is Taylor Park West, a serene, passive park with open green spaces near a quarry.

An ideal location for wildlife spotting and fishing, Taylor Park West is another park to visit for a long walk (with an immaculate view!) with your pup amidst birds, iguanas, turtles, raccoons, and big-mouthed bass, which can keep you busy during the stroll, too!

Remember to bring a leash when you visit this idyllic park!
