I have moved to a new real estate company called Compass. After working for Coldwell Banker and Sotheby's, why make another move? And who exactly is Compass? Above is a short clip on what excites me about this remarkable company.
In my fourteen years of helping people get to their next destination, I've been blessed to work with two other incredible companies and meet some amazing people. Working at Coldwell Banker when I first started my real estate career in 2004, I was exposed to some incredible training for someone that was brand new to real estate. I worked there for eleven years and was able to learn many things that I still use today.
After my time there, I was fortunate to work at Sotheby's International Realty for nearly three years. A job at Sotheby's isn't a given to everyone that applies, so it was an honor to be asked to work there. In my time there I was able to learn a great deal about the luxury real estate market and build many wonderful relationships with agents throughout the world.
This combined with my already existing friendships with some of the top agents worldwide enabled me to have personal relationships with multiple agents in all fifty states in the US and in 57 countries.
If you are like some people, you may not be familiar with Compass. Agents at Compass have the highest average sale volume per agent in the country. More than any of the other luxury companies that you may have heard of.
Every agent that is hired at Compass has to be a top agent, kind, have a great attitude, and be collaborative. The culture is more important than ANY individual.
Compass hires one in every thousand people that apply for a job. Below is an article that mentions how 45,000 people applied at Compass and only 45 people were hired. Based on stats, it is roughly fifty times harder to get a job at Compass than to get accepted into Harvard.

Compass reminds me of Apple and Amazon mixed together. Apple has always been very innovative and looking at things completely different than others. They are the hip techy company that totally simplifies things and makes life much better. I couldn't imagine how different our world would be without iPhones (smartphones), iPads, and listening to our favorite songs on our devices.
Although Amazon isn't known for being a tech company, they are probably the leaders in creating a frictionless experience for hundreds of millions of consumers around the world. To be able to click just a few times and to be able to get almost anything your heart desires within a few hours or couple of days is absolutely amazing.
Compass makes your buying and selling experience frictionless. The roller coaster ride that is typically experienced throughout the buying and selling process is a thing of the past. I can't wait to share with you how different it is to buy and sell a home!
