Sunny Isles Beach's Evolution — A Journey Through The Recently Completed Community Projects Of The "City Of Sun And Sea!"

Where: across Sunny Isles Beach

Sunny Isles Beach has always been revered for its unwavering commitment to enhancing residents' quality of life through various community projects promoting improvement and advancement.

And if you're curious about what this luxurious coastal city has done so far, here's a quick preview of recently completed community projects around Sunny Isles Beach!

In 2023, the local police headquarters received a technological upgrade to integrate license plate readers and CCTV cameras into a unified platform and implement speed readers on Collins Avenue.

Pedestrian safety and accessibility were also a priority for SIB, as shown through a noteworthy sidewalk widening project on Collins Avenue.

Meanwhile, to enhance Sunny Isles Beach's recreational spots, a renovation project was launched for Senator Gwen Margolis Park (17815 N Bay Rd.), which included a state-of-the-art LED lighting system, and a new Meditation Garden was built for Town Center Park (17200 Collins Ave.).

There's also a new park in Sunny Isles Beach, Golden Shores Park (225 191st Ter.), offering an expansive playground, picnic tables, benches, swings, a community shuttle service, and a free WiFi connection.

What other changes can we expect from the City of Sunny Isles Beach?

Aside from the unveiling of Sunny Spaces this April, the city's first public art installation in Gateway Center, and other parts of SIB, we'll await updates from the local city government!
