What's new in Sunset Harbour?

I've all the juicy "deets" for anyone who wants to know!

Promising a never-ending beachfront adventure loaded with nature, leisure, dining, shopping, and wellness, Sunset Harbour, despite its tiny size, packs up a punch in enhancements and community developments!

In fact, Sunset Harbour locals are about to welcome MORE!

What lies ahead for the select all-in-one district of Sunset Harbour?

Let's just say it's going to "rain" mixed-use projects, new shopping destinations, and sights to see in Sunset Harbour — and no one will want to raise their umbrellas!

Here are 4 things new to watch for in Sunset Harbour.

(1)

Deco Capital Group Graces Sunset Harbour With A New Mixed-Use Destination!

Where: 1769 Purdy Ave., Miami Beach, FL 33139

When: Happening Now!

In 2021, Deco Capital Group, along with Origin Construction, broke ground for a new mixed-use project in Sunset Harbour, the revolutionary five-story building of Eighteen Sunset.

Since its completion in 2023, the highly anticipated development has been gracing the locals of Sunset Harbour, bringing two floors of luxury Class A+ office spaces, 17,000 square feet of ground-floor retail, and a ground-floor public breezeway.

The cherry on top?

A one-of-a-kind, exclusive penthouse with a stunning rooftop deck conceptualized by Meyer Davis Studio!

And Sunset Harbour hasn't been the same since!

In fact, just a few months ago, Eighteen Sunset signed AP House as one of its first tenants, allowing the boutique hospitality gem to occupy a sprawling 11,841 square feet of its iconic space, which will open later this year.

Aside from the luxurious residential salon, Eighteen Sunset boasts elite tenants like  Pretium, a distinguished investment management firm, and Uchiko, an avant-garde restaurant by the acclaimed Hai Hospitality group.

More Mixed-Use Project Proposals Land In Sunset Harbour — And One Is Starting Construction SOON!

Where: across Sunset Harbour

When: TBA

Despite being Sunset Harbour's first-ever mixed-use project, Eighteen Sunset won't be the only one landing in this tiny community.

In fact, if all goes well, Sunset Harbour may be looking at THREE!

First on the list is SHVO's The Alton (1656-1680 Alton Rd., 1677 West Ave.), a six-story building that will offer retail, residences, office space, and parking within a verdant structure designed by renowned design firm Foster + Partners.

Slated for construction in early 2024, The Alton will be near Lincoln Road and feature 170,000 rentable square feet of office space, 17,000 square feet of ground floor retail, and five luxury residences, with over 300 feet of prime Alton Road exposure, grand terraced outdoor rooms, and panoramic views.

Sunset Harbour also received a five-story mixed-use project proposal from the Finvarb Group on 1790 Alton Road, which will provide 30 parking spaces and roughly 8,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space alongside two ground-floor restaurants and residential units throughout the upper floors.

Meanwhile, Alton Office Holdings II, LLC's five-story mixed-use building at 1920 Alton Road, approved in 2022, is yet to commence construction due to unrevealed delays.

If it pushes through, the 1920 Alton Road project will offer approximately 25,223 square feet of Class A office space, 8,284 square feet of ground floor restaurant space, 13,271 square feet of residential space split across three units, and a screened-in parking garage with 45 spaces on the second level of the building.

Sunset Harbour's Whole Foods Is GROWING — Literally!

Where: Alton Rd & 19 St., Miami Beach, FL 33139

When: TBA

In 2015, Crescent Heights proposed to build a bigger Whole Foods on 1901 Alton Road in Sunset Harbour, which was supposed to offer 40,000 square feet of supermarket space, a café that holds around 150 people, 300 parking spaces, and a new 4,600-square-foot Wells Fargo.

However, it was postponed due to traffic and design issues.

Now, nine years later, Cresent Height's vision is finally realized, but this time on the corner of Alton Road and 19th Street.

Yes, peeps, Sunset Harbour will finally have a larger Whole Foods supermarket!

As previously proposed, the new Whole Foods will be a four-story building with a total of 199,000 square feet, including 50,000 square feet of retail and a new Wells Fargo Bank, right next to Publix, Fresh Market, and Epicure Market!

When will we see this highly anticipated (and much needed!) super grocery store?

Stay tuned!

And when we say everything, we mean it literally!

We're talking wine glasses, hats, books, board games, stationery & office supplies, serveware, napkins & linens, candles, vases, and even curated toys for kids!

Anatomy Fitness (1212 Lincoln Rd. Suite 204), a famous health and wellness center, also signed a lease in Sunset Harbour and opened its highly anticipated fitness center this year, offering various classes for Sunset Harbour's health buffs!

What's next for this thriving retail, dining, health, and wellness hub?
